What is happening?
In the early hours of Saturday 13th June 2009, RIM will update the network software behind the Blackberry Internet Service version 2.6 to 2.7.
How will this affect our customers?
Customers should not notice any changes to their BIS service, as most of the changes are behind the scenes.
How will this affect me as an advisor?
The new 2.7 version has got all the same functionality as before, with a few added extra’s. No existing BIS features will be removed.
There is one change you need to be aware of:
The menu structure within the Email Settings application is slightly different. The most crucial change to be aware of is that the Send Service Books command has been removed from the main Services and Settings menu, into the Help menu. The menu path is now Email Settings – Help – Send Service books.

I am with at&t and have a blackberry 8310 curve running os 4.5-just a quick question, I deleted my help files to make more room for memory, will this upgrade rim is doing with the bis affect me since now I have no help directory. Thanks! Respectfully., Rick B. (559) 816-9637
