Dataoutagenews.com is the sister site to dataoutages.com. This is where we report all outages no matter how small or large they are so we don’t clog up the mail lists with outages that are not affecting large area’s. We post everything that also get’s posted to the bb-outage list and allow people to comment on what they are seeing on their area’s to allow more people to see what the status is. Since the bb-outage list is fully moderated and we only allow outages that are a major concern to area’s, this allows users more freedom to post if they are down or not and allows us to see what area’s are affected the most.
Below is the information on the various mail lists that we run and what their purpose is.
BB-Outage is a mail list for people to notify others if RIM’s data service or a carrier’s data se rvice is down in a particular area. if Data Service is down in China, USA, A particular state, city, country, etc, for people then post the area to the list so others are notified. It’s probably best to subscribe from an address that’s not associated with your Blackberry since if RIM’s data service is down, you won’t get the e-mail anyhow.
