There is planned maintenance within the European BlackBerry network scheduled for the 16th January within the time window of 0200 and 0600 GMT. RIM expect the duration of planned maintenance to be no more than 20 minutes.
This planned maintenance may result in temporary unavailability of BlackBerry data services, and end users may be unable to send and receive BlackBerry messages for a short time.
If you have any queries relating to this fault, please contact the X BlackBerry support team by replying to this email or calling on the usual telephone number, quoting Case Reference 5757508.
During the planned maintenance any questions from your end users should be directed initially to your own internal help-desk.

VZW is currently experiencing issues registering on RIM network with data connectivity and activations, Verizon stated that they were having some “server issues.” Have contacted our Vz rep to try and get a better ETA.
Edit: This appears to be a Northeast problem as we’re getting reports from people up and down the Northeast that they are experiencing the same issues.
Edit: This appears to be more widespread then we had thought, it appears that it’s nationwide. Keep the comments coming in so we can update this as needed.

We’re getting reports that their may be a National Blackberry outage.
Verizon Wireless reports that there is a data outage affecting most of the Northeast, and has been for a few hours now.
